Its Tuesday today!!!....booooo D:

Anyways...Today in Robs class, we got made to watch a video on the (apparently) famous Director, Spike Jonez, and watched his music video that he did for Fatboy Slim, tis was very boring, its okay after seeing it once, but like 3 times? clearly taking the mickey!!! >.<

Later in Gavins class, we were continuing with our talks, and a few people finished today and the rest (along with myself) will do theres next week, just intime for the xmas holidays! wooooo :P

today in Dee's class, for the first hour, we studied maths to prepare for an asignment, and in the second hour we continued with doing our magazine, but since I'm awesome, I was continuing with the Contents page, you can see yesterdays blog for how it was originally and below is how it is now!!!

Monday 13/12/10

Hey everybody, another blog post from me, but first, something to mention!!!!

You may have noticed there haven't been many blog posts in a while, but College got cancled for 2 weeks due to terrible weather condtitions, mainly being snow, that caused slow traffic, people to be stuck in and stop both buses and trains from running!

Anyways, today in Laura's class, we continued with our Magazine articles for Dee's class, due to having lost time over the weather conditions, and later in Dee's class, same again, only this time I made a start on the contents page since I was near-done on my other pages, after finishing the contents, I went back to my other two pages and added page numbers and a fun fact to them both :)

Monday 22/11/10

Today in Laura's Class, we made lil postcards for a charity auction, I created a lil colourful one with a peace sign in the middle saying "Peace Out! " :)

Then in Dee's class, we continued with our magazine project, I was at the stage of almost finishing my first game review page, in which case, now I am, and I am currently on my second page, which afterwards, I will go over both pages and check if they need anything else before submitting to Dee to print off, below you can see a print screen of both to see how it is going :P

Friday 19/11/10

Today in John's class, we continued preparing the scenes we were planning on filming for our soon-to-be-awesome infomercial!!!

We filmed them in the field outside the music block, the library, the canteen, the Student Union, the Student Finance area and a small guide round the college.

I did a bit of acting within the infomercial, with Me and Graham introducing ourselfs, then a scene on how the college does not tollerate bullying, I was also seen reading in the library and was filmed chilling in both the Student Union and the Canteen.

We came back to Johns class and wrote into our blogs, which is what you see before your eyes :P

So that concludes another week done!!!

Tuesday 16/11/10

Awk I'm tired...but anyways...

Today in Rob's class, I made a start on my music video, using the song "Synthetic" by Spineshank and using pictures from the Halo game series while making it on Windows Movie Maker.

Then later on in Gavin's class, I did a listening assessment about racism, watching the 20 minute video then answering the questions and then discussed what I'm going to do my presentation on, in which case, I am doing about some of the awesomest games of 2010.

Lastly in Dee's class, since I was finished My Article Review, I made a start in creating templates and after finishing that small task, I have finally made a start on it, more next week....

Today in Laura's class, we continued with our FairTrade project and I wrote down what I found in the history :)

Then Later in Dee's class we continued with our Article Planner and I ended up finishing mines by adding pictures and text :)

Today in Laura's class, we logged onto Moodle and voted for a charity that we want the proceeds to go to, I chose Comic Relief, because  they are epic and without comic relief, they're wouldn't be sonic relief :P

Then later in Dee's class, we downloaded shizzle to our U: Drives which contained pictures by Andy Warhol and made an article on him on Microsoft Publisher then took a screen grab which you can see below (:

Tuesday 2/11/10

Hello people, tis that time of the day for another......BLOG ENTRY!!! 


Today in Rob's class, I started a powerpoint on a specific Music Genre, which the class is gonna have to guess, maybe next week? It won't be hard... promise ;)


Later on in Gavin's class, after 2 attempts at redoing the main-points in last weeks work, so I can move on, I finally did it, started the assessment and finished it, hopefully I did well, we'll find out next week. :)


Then in Dee's class, I brought in my magazine (Official Nintendo Magazine to be exact) and traced over a double page spread, to give an example of a layout, and afterwards, I marked each section in colours so it'll last for next years students and Im now onto starting my reviews for the college magazine, and after very little thinking (because I'm too awesome to think for long) I have made my choices.....

after 16 years, Sonic 3 gets the sequal it deserves!!! :D

Monday 1/11/10

Today in Laura's class, we researched for 5 charities and wrote down the information, so that we can make a verdict on one.

Later in Dee's class, we continued with the article research task, then I went on the computer and looked at examples of Game reviews for an Idea for my one. :)

There are 2 examples of reviews for games, both taken from The Official Nintendo Magazine website!

Example 1 : Review of Lego Harry Potter for Wii!

Example 2 : Review of Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions also for Wii!!!

Monday 25/10/10

Today in Laura's class, we read about Health and Safety and afterwards, did an assessment on the subject in which I got 80% of answers correct which was a pass, so.... go me!!! :D

Later in Dee's class, we discussed our next task, which was to create a magazine about our course, which is also a group task, Im doing a page or two on reviewing video games, which shall be good :)

Tuesday 19/10/10

Another day another blog *sigh*.........anyways;

Today in Rob's class, we made a start on creating a storyboard for our own video for an existing music video, using our imaginations and whatnot.

After break in Gavin's class, we discussed what we are going to be doing for the next few weeks and did an exercise which involved reading and writing.

In Dee's class, we scanned one of our images we created in Jane's art class, which we uploaded to photoshop and played about with text fonts, sizes and colours to create some alternative images, here are a few examples below :)

Same colours as the original picture, but a nice change in font to be honest :P

Monday 4/10/10

Today in Laura's class, we got split up into two teams and worked together on a team exercise and came out the winning team :D

Then later in Dee's class, we learned step by step with the help of Dee's powerpoint presentation how to write in html, from doing so we learned how to:
Create Headings
Make text italic or bold
Make a list
Change the colour of the background

We also did evaluations for our separate EPK's, I did my evaluation on Alan's Epk, which was about Johnny Cash, and it was an excellent EPK :D

Tuesday 28/9/10

Today is Tuesday, the not as depressing as Monday day :D

So anyways, today in Rob's class, we put the finishing touches on our Genre posters and created our crosswords :)

Then later on in Gavin's class, we started a new review this time on our favorite band or game :D and so far....I'm like stuck :S

Then today in dee's class we finally figured out how to add a video file to iweb for our EPK and below is images of my EPK before and after adding the video:

Tuesday 21/9/10

Today is Tuesday, which means it's one day closer to the weekend :D

But today in Rob's Class, we pressed on with our Genre poster, I felt the poster was a little empty, so in each corner I drew a selected instrument and colored in the title, go me :D

Then later on in Gavin's class, I spent time gathering information on both a-ha and Linkin Park for my coparison review, which I will finish for next week.

Then in Dee's class, we continued with our EPK's by starting our individual EPK's and making the web pages using iWeb, so far, so good, i only done 3 pages, see below :D

Monday 20/9/10

Today being Monday, another boring start to the week, but anyways....

Earlier today in Laura's class, we filled out info on different types of learning styles (e.g. visual learning) and later on did a quiz to see what kind of learning style each of us are, my result being multiple learning :O

Later on in Dee's Class prepared what we're gonna be doing for the next  weeks with our EPK's and who's doing what on what days. Then I searched the web to get the audio for our EPK, I chose a total of 6 tracks with more soon, which we'll decide which song to use later on.

Then we were given the task to make a storyboard of our individual EPK's and hand it into Dee, which I had done immediately before entering into this blog, and to be brutally honest, that was probably the fun part of the class XD

Tuesday 14/9/10

So.. Today's tuesday and not as boring or depressing as yesterday, which is good :)

But yeah, Today in Rob's class, we were watching more music video's and then talking about what conventions most music video's have!

Later on in Gavin's class, we talked more about the conventions but not just in video's but Genre's too amd did a music review which we'll be continuing next week.

Today in Dee's class we learned most if not all the basics in using Adobe Photoshop, from adding text as seen below.

Monday 13/9/10

Well, where to start.... the weather is crap and it's a Monday, the most depressing day of the week, even more depressing is the fact it is raining ):

But anywho, today in college; in Laura's class we logged on the computers, went on to moodle and done quizzes based on questions of the college. I think I did pretty well at them :)

Then later on in Dee's class we went straight to continuing our EPK's, so far with it, I have only wrote down Metallica's discography while George and Alistair goof-off on youtube. To get further I need my notebook (which I left at home :/ ) which has facts and bio's of Metallica written in it :D

Also for the "RIYL" or "Recommend If You Like" I got a list of artist with similar music and playing styles to Metallica whom come under the Metal Genre.

Friday 10/9/10 :)

So today, Friday 10th September I am in John's class in the music department, where today, we have been doing a couple of easy peasy sheet tasks.

Later on taking a picture for our image folder in our recently made EPK folder.

And also below is a screen-grab of our sub folders within our EPK folder for proof (I guess?) :3

Also afterwards we sent an e-mail to john and screen-grabbed an image of my e-mail in progress which you can see below. :) 

Then I had been noting information on my subject for our EPK. Our EPK subject is of the band Metallica, in which you can see in the screenshot below where I have been gathering the information from:

Tuesday 7/9/2010

Today in Rob's class, we watched each others music-video choices and said why we chose that video.

Then later on in Gavin's class I sent the interview to Gavin that I finished last week, then started the letter of complaint task and I am almost finished it.

After our lunch break, we made a start on doing our group EPK's, pur group are doing Metallica and I was getting information to write the bio's, then afterwards, I'm gonna gather the information for the history. 

So we'll see where this goes :)

Today in Rob's class, we were doing a music genre test :P twas pretty fun ;D

Then later on in Gavin's class, we finished off typing our interviews, which we also took photos for (mines looking bad >.< )

Then later we had to cut our lunch break short for Dee's class (oh joy -.-) and searched up 5 EPK's and wrote em down then we made a biography about us for our blogs (image below)

Today, for  a good few hours today, I have been getting images of my favorite band (Children of Bodom \m/) aand saving them in to my iphoto library to use in the blogs we're gonna create in the near future :)

Yesterday, we came to college, done this, done that!!! badda bing, badda boom :P

Today: We interviewed another student in the classroom as if we were doing it for a magazine, then in communications, we listened to gavin give us an introduction to communications, currently at the moment, I'm in Dee's class, doing a blog, and thats where I'm up to now...so like...byee :P
